Accountant - Put your financial expertise to work where it makes a difference.
Farrow Jamieson is partnering with an established Auckland-based, Christian organisation whose work is grounded in faith and a strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
There is a genuine sense of purpose behind the organisation and the way it operates. Stewardship, service, compassion and community are important to the culture, and finance plays a key role in ensuring resources are used thoughtfully and responsibly.
The team is close-knit, practical and busy, with supportive leadership, genuine flexibility and people who care about both the quality of their work and the wider impact it enables.
About the Role
A broad Senior Accountant role with a strong management accounting and business partnering focus. Reporting to the COO, you will work across the organisation to bring clarity to financial information, strengthen planning and help managers make well-informed decisions.
The scope goes well beyond a narrow month-end role. You will move between financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, analysis and process improvement. It will suit someone who enjoys variety, likes being close to the business and is comfortable getting into the detail when needed.
Duties
You will be a capable accountant who brings both technical strength and the confidence to work with people outside finance. Not-for-profit experience is useful, but it is not essential; a broad commercial accounting background can work equally well.
This is a genuinely faith-led workplace. Service, integrity, thoughtful stewardship and a sense of community matter here, and people are encouraged to bring both capability and care to their work.
You will suit the environment if you enjoy collaborating, are willing to contribute beyond a narrow job description and like the idea of using your finance skills in an organisation with a strong sense of purpose. It is a busy role, so you will also need to be comfortable juggling priorities and taking ownership.
Benefits
If you are looking for a Senior Accountant role with real breadth, strong business partnering and want to use your professional skills in a Christian organisation committed to serving others and making a difference, we would be keen to hear from you.
