The Opportunity

Our client are seeking a highly experienced Construction Director / Licensed Builder to lead the delivery of residential projects across NSW. This role will oversee a portfolio of medium-density and volume housing developments, including detached homes, duplexes, and townhouses.

This is a key leadership position within a growing, vertically integrated development and construction business, offering strong autonomy and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple residential construction projects
  • Manage programme, cost, quality, and safety outcomes across all sites
  • Oversee site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Drive construction efficiency, productivity, and delivery performance
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and cost control processes
  • Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews
  • Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, and authorities
About You
  • 10+ years’ experience in residential construction (hands-on site background essential)
  • Current NSW Class 1 Builder Licence (mandatory)
  • Class 2 Licence (highly regarded)
  • Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Proven experience delivering volume housing, townhouse, or multi-unit projects
  • Strong commercial acumen (budgeting, procurement, cost control)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams
  • Confident leader with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
