This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Architect looking to contribute to nationally significant projects.

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Architect, you will play a key role in designing and assuring secure technology solutions across complex enterprise transformation programs. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will provide expert security architecture guidance, support governance and approval processes, and ensure solutions align with contemporary security best practices and government standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design secure-by-design architecture solutions for large and complex ICT transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture documentation and present designs through technical governance forums.
  • Provide expert cyber security advice to project teams, business stakeholders and system owners.
  • Deliver security architecture across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, network and monitoring environments.
  • Support security assurance, risk management and compliance activities.
  • Build strong relationships across technical and business stakeholders to drive secure outcomes.
  • Mentor and support team members while contributing to the continuous improvement of ICT security practices.
  • Assist in identifying, investigating and resolving security-related issues across systems and services.

About You

You are an experienced Cyber Security Architect with a strong background delivering security architecture within large, complex enterprise environments. You are confident engaging with technical and executive stakeholders and have a passion for designing secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions.


You will ideally bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise security architecture and secure-by-design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and hybrid security architecture.
  • Experience designing secure network architectures and security monitoring capabilities.
  • Expertise in security assurance, governance, risk and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
  • Experience working within large-scale government or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant cyber security or architecture certifications are advantageous.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must be Australian Citizens who have resided in Australia for a minimum of 10 years and are eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
