Operations Manager

We are looking to hire an experienced operations manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a mission-critical datacentre project in Batam, Indonesia.
 
The role will lead site operations, ensuring the facility operates safely, reliably and efficiently 24/7. You will manage technical teams, critical M&E infrastructure, maintenance, incidents, vendors and operational standards.
 
What you'll be doing

• Lead day-to-day 24/7 data centre operations and site teams.
• Manage critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure including UPS, generators, power distribution, cooling and BMS/DCIM.
• Lead engineers, technicians and shift teams.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage incidents, equipment failures, escalation and root cause analysis.
• Review and maintain SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
• Manage vendors, contractors and maintenance partners.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational and customer requirements.
• Support projects, upgrades, commissioning and handover into operations.
• Drive operational improvements, reliability and efficiency.

What we are looking for

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities or related engineering discipline.
• 8 + years' experience in datacentres, critical facilities or mission-critical environments.
• At least 3-5 years of direct datacentre operations experience.
• Strong understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing technical teams, contractors and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of SOP/MOP/EOP, incident and change management.
• Experience operating live, high-availability environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
