Lodestone Recruitment is currently working with a well-established company based in Barnsley, who are currently seeking experienced Plater Welders to join their team.

Role Overview:

This company is recruiting an experienced Plater Welders to join their team, due to an increase in orders.

This role involves plating, fabricating, and welding structural steel components to engineering drawings while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and plating of structural steel components
• Welding to required quality standards
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling steel sections and plate
• Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Apprentice trained or Time served experience as a Plater Welder
• Background in structural steel, construction or heavy engineering
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

Pay & Shift Details:

Day Shift:

• Salary: £16.74 - £18 an hour
• Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:15am – 4:00pm, Friday: 7:45am – 2:00pm

Or

Night Shift:

• Salary: £43k per annum
• Hours: 46-hour week
• Pattern: 4 nights per week, 11.5-hour shifts Monday to Thursday
