Shipping Associate

Yoh is looking for a Shipping Associate to join our Biotech/Pharma client in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The ideal individual should have a strong understanding of how materials are received, moved, tracked, packed, and shipped within an organization. This role will support general warehouse needs for the team, so candidates should expect a mixture of material handling, inventory, shipping, and packaging duties.

Location: Pleasanton, CA
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $22–$26/hour DOE
Type: 6-month contract with potential to convert

Responsibilities:

• Ensure incoming packages are inspected, counted, and delivered to the end user in a timely manner
• Maintain inventory recording, labeling, and placing materials in stock based on designated inventory locations
• Manage general lab supplies for Production and R&D to ensure supplies do not stock out
• Pick and pack temperature-sensitive and ambient goods in preparation for delivery to internal and external customers
• Work in freezer/cold-room environments for periods of time with proper PPE/jacket
• Process PO receipts and inventory movement forms through the ERP system
• Assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Support domestic and/or international shipping needs, including temperature-sensitive shipments
• Drive company vehicles as needed to deliver incoming packages and internal requests between nearby facilities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting, logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or material handling role
• Experience in Pharma, Biotech, Life Science, or Manufacturing environments is preferred
• Must have hands-on material handling and shipping experience beyond basic package scanning
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
• Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to 50–70 lbs.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience using warehouse management systems or ERP software preferred; Oracle experience is a plus
• RF scanner experience preferred
• Experience packing temperature-sensitive materials, dry ice shipments, or cold-chain products preferred
• Must be comfortable working in cold-room/freezer environments for periods of time with proper PPE/jacket
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
