Our client is an ASX-listed Australian gold development company dedicated to advancing high-potential projects in Western Australia’s rich gold regions, and has quickly refocused its strategy on a large-scale gold development with the aim of establishing itself as a Top-tier Australian gold produce
Following a successful capital raise and the acquisition of a brownfields project, the company is now progressing the asset toward development. This includes ongoing drilling, technical studies, and optimisation work, with a pre-feasibility study currently underway as the company moves toward production.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Technical Services, the Geology Manager will lead the integration of geology, mining and processing disciplines to ensure geological understanding is effectively translated into safe, efficient and value driven production outcomes.
You will lead the development and implementation of grade control and mine-to-mill strategies, ensuring accurate reconciliation, minimising ore loss and dilution, and optimising overall project value. The role will also oversee the mine geology team, drive technical standards, support operational readiness, and work closely with internal stakeholders and contractors to embed best-practice processes across grade control, drilling, modelling and production support.
About you
The Geology Manager will demonstrate the following experience and will be responsible for:
- Relevant degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or similar
- Strong background in open pit gold operations and mine production environments
- Proven expertise in grade control, reconciliation and mine planning
- Experience leading and developing geology or technical services teams
- Ability to integrate geology with mining and processing outcomes
- Practical, outcome-focused approach with strong operational mindset
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive in managing risk, identifying opportunities and driving improvement
