Locum Senior Hospital Dietitian

• 14th September – 2nd October
• HP3 or HP4 level role
• Upto $80 per hour + super depending on experience

 

HP3 or HP4 Dietitian required for locum with remote health service based in South West Queensland. You will join a small allied health team and cover a varied caseload including:
 

• Inpatients
• Outpatients
• Outreach
• Full time hours, Monday – Friday
• 14th September – 2nd October
• Join my other locums!
• Please only respond if you have current APD status
• Experienced Hospital Dietitians required, this role is not suitable for graduates

 
As part of this role you will:

• Independently deliver high-level nutrition and dietetic services, as a sole dietitian, across the continuum of care, in accordance with professional and ethical standards as set by Dietitians Australia (DA) and Queensland Health. This includes providing outreach services to hospitals and communities throughout the district.
• Use a high level of professional knowledge and clinical skills in exercising independent professional judgement to problem solve and clinically manage a complex caseload across a broad spectrum of clinical presentations, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Deliver high level dietetic food service input into the Food Service departments within the Hospital and Health Service, including menu development, implementation and evaluation, and ongoing auditing and education.
• Identify and contribute to the development of evidence based clinical practice, procedures, protocols and education materials to improve the delivery of nutrition and dietetic services, and support the continuum of care engaging cross-discipline and at times interagency approaches where appropriate.
• Maintain and develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through actively engaging in self-directed professional development activities that includes independently developing a network of professional support, and effectively utilising a wide range of advanced communication modalities including but not limited to online journals, videoconferencing and telehealth.

 
 
Locum rates upto $80 per hour + super dependent on years of experience + potential for living away from home tax benefits (more take home pay, up to $8 dollars more an hour!)

Accommodation provided.

$200 towards travel, each way.
