Sit-Down Forklift Operator – Receiving

Location: Dallas, TX 75229
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Environment: Non-Climate Controlled, Receiving Dock, Warehouse

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our receiving team in Dallas, TX. In this hands-on warehouse role, you will be responsible for safely unloading, moving, receiving, staging, and organizing incoming materials and products. The ideal candidate will have previous sit-down forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires someone who is reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and dock environment.

Key Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to unload, transport, stage, and organize incoming materials.

• Receiving: Assist with receiving incoming shipments and ensure materials are properly unloaded and placed in designated areas.

• Material Movement: Move pallets, products, and materials throughout the warehouse and receiving area as needed.

• Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks while following proper material-handling procedures.

• Organization: Maintain organized receiving, staging, and storage areas to support efficient warehouse operations.

• Safety: Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines while maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous sit-down forklift experience is required.

• Warehouse Experience: Previous receiving, material handling, or general warehouse experience is preferred.

• Forklift Skills: Must be comfortable operating a sit-down forklift safely around employees, equipment, and warehouse materials.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday.

• Work Environment: Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and receiving dock environment.

• Reliability: Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability are required.

• Safety: Must be able to follow all safety procedures and properly operate warehouse equipment.

Dress Code Requirements

• Steel-toed boots required.

• Appropriate work pants required.

• Comfortable work clothing suitable for an active warehouse environment.

• Additional PPE must be worn as required by the client.

Hiring & Screening Requirements

• Previous forklift experience must be verified.

• Must be able to pass required background and drug screening.

• Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position.

• Must follow all client safety and warehouse policies.
