Job Overview:
The NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer is responsible for the development, qualification, and launch of new processes for manufacturing.  Additionally, the NPI Engineer is responsible for improving NPI processes, training of new operators for OQ/PQ validation, and developing cost saving projects by deploying processing improvements.  


Responsibilities:

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process development from prototyping through validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and production launch.
• Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes using DOE, process characterization, and First Article/sample validation.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and production concepts to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process sheets, control plans, PFMEAs, and validation protocols.
• Partner with design engineering to transition prototypes into scalable, high-volume manufacturing while providing engineering support throughout product development.
• Collaborate with project engineering, quality, and production teams to monitor project progress, resolve process issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Train manufacturing personnel on materials, tooling, equipment, and NPI processes while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, cleanroom, and regulatory requirements.
• Support efficient manufacturing operations through process improvements, material flow optimization, troubleshooting, and adherence to company quality and productivity standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of science from a four-year college or university in an engineering or science related field
• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
• Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software). 

Preference:

• Experience working with medical devices and associated regulatory requirements
• Experience with product qualification and process validation activities
• Solid works or CAD modeling software is a plus

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $80-110k. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate’s skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
