Machine Operator

• Read instructions from SOPs then set and run machinery to “Right First Time” standards
• Identify & propose process improvements when and where necessary
• Aid in training new and existing staff
• Work with Head of converting/quality personnel in investigating complaints
• Adhere to the quality standards set by the company
• Achieving time & cost targets, reducing variances & waste
• Be customer focused internal and external
• Health & Safety aware
• Keep a good level of house keeping
• Work with Production Manager/Development Manager to maximize & increase productivity
• Work to improve standards throughout the working area.

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Flexible, adaptable attitude
• Previous experience of running machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills. Such that they can convey instruction to operational staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Ideally able to read technical drawings or at least computer literate.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Able to work in a team & support colleagues.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work in a clean and methodical manner.
• An awareness of health and safety.
• Good math and written English
