Construction Site Supervisor - Industrial Projects

Are you an experienced Construction Site Supervisor with a proven track record delivering projects in petrochemical, oil & gas, energy, process plant, or heavy industrial environments?
  
We're seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to take ownership of site operations, lead construction crews and subcontractors and deliver complex industrial projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This senior site leadership role offers genuine autonomy, long-term career prospects and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering, project management, quality and HSE teams.
  
About the Role
Reporting into the project team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities across a range of industrial construction projects.
  
Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and supervise mechanical, piping, structural steel and civil construction activities.
• Manage site crews, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and daily work fronts.
• Champion a strong health, safety and environmental culture.
• Oversee permit-to-work systems, isolations and high-risk activities.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Monitor project progress, productivity and programme performance.
• Coordinate quality, testing, commissioning and compliance requirements.
• Manage subcontractor performance, site documentation, reporting and client relationships.

  
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Significant construction supervision experience within industrial, petrochemical, oil & gas, energy or process plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction and site operations.
• Experience overseeing piping, structural steel, pressure equipment and mechanical installations.
• Sound understanding of permit-to-work systems, isolations and high-risk work activities.
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and manage competing priorities.
• Experience working with clients, engineers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, QA/QC processes and inspections.
• Knowledge of NZ HSE requirements and industry standards, with trade qualifications and relevant site certifications highly regarded.
