Senior Electrical Engineer

An experienced Senior Electrical Engineer is required to take full ownership of electrical maintenance across a busy industrial site, including MV and LV systems up to 10kV. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, this role leads a skilled electrical team and contractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team, including planning and resource allocation
• Act as Site Electrical Duty Holder, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and electrical regulations
• Oversee all MV & LV systems, including maintenance, upgrades, and statutory compliance
• Drive electrical safety standards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage HV switching operations, authorisations, and safety procedures
• Deliver energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects across the site
• Lead electrical projects from design through to commissioning
• Maintain critical documentation including protection studies, arc flash assessments, and system diagrams

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
• 10+ year's experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV systems, power quality, and electrical compliance
• Experience with PLCs, inverters, and maintenance systems
• Proven leadership and team management capability
