Our client, a successful & reputable Healthcare organisation In Brisbane City, is seeking an experienced Medical Billings Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has a strong understanding of the complexities of Medicare billing.
Reporting into the finance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant medical billing processes across the organisation.
This position requires someone who can confidently navigate Medicare billing requirements, identify discrepancies, and maintain the highest level of accuracy across patient accounts and billing activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Process Medicare and patient billings accurately and efficiently
- Manage billing enquiries and resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and healthcare regulations
- Review and reconcile billing records to maintain data integrity
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and healthcare professionals regarding billing matters
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the billing function
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Medicare billing (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage complex billing scenarios and problem-solve effectively
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Salary package of $80,000 - $90,000 + Super
