The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Auto Electricians to support major mining operations across both surface and underground mobile equipment, with excellent opportunities for long-term employment, competitive rates, and FIFO rosters designed to suit your lifestyle.

�� 8:6, 2:2, 2:1 rosters available

�� The Role
As a Surface & Underground Mining Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for:
✅ Diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, and control system faults on surface and underground mining equipment.
✅ Carrying out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs.
✅ Maintaining and repairing surface and underground mobile plant including:
- Haul trucks
- Excavators
- Dozers and loaders
- Underground trucks
- Loaders and boggers
- Jumbos and drilling equipment
- Long hole drills
- Normet equipment
- Sandvik equipment
- Caterpillar equipment
- Volvo equipment
- Light vehicles and support machinery
✅ Installing, repairing, and testing wiring harnesses, lighting systems, sensors, communication systems, and machine control components.
✅ Using OEM diagnostic software, technical manuals, and schematics to efficiently identify and rectify faults.
✅ Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely and to site standards.
✅ Working collaboratively with maintenance teams to complete complex repairs across surface and underground operations.
To be successful, you will have:
✔ Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate
✔ Proven experience working on surface and/or underground mining equipment
✔ Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, electronic, and control systems
✔ Experience using OEM diagnostic software and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
✔ Ability to work safely under pressure in a fast-paced mining environment
✔ Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
✔ Current manual driver's licence
✔ National Police Clearance (site requirements apply)
