About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in specialized engineering and consulting, is looking for a skilled Revit Drafter to join their team for a 12-month engagement. 

The Revit Drafter will work closely with project managers, designers, and engineering teams to develop and maintain accurate construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical drafting, attention to detail, and supporting project teams through the preparation of design and construction drawings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create and modify construction drawings, plans, and details using Revit and AutoCAD
• Develop and maintain Revit models for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
• Assist with drawing production for project deliverables, including floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and details
• Coordinate drawing updates and revisions based on markups from project teams
• Organize and maintain project documentation and drawing standards
• Assist with clash detection and model coordination activities
• Support the preparation of permit, bid, and construction document packages
• Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards and client requirements
• Participate in project coordination meetings as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain project files and drawing archives
• Assist with quality control reviews of drawing sets
• Support the development and maintenance of Revit templates, families, and standards
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project deadlines are met
• Assist with documentation and process improvements within the drafting department
• Maintain accurate records of project revisions and updates

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or vocational training in drafting, CAD, BIM, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred but not required
• 1-3 years of drafting experience preferred; internship, trade school, or relevant project experience will be considered
• Proficiency with Revit required
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred
• Understanding of construction drawings and drafting principles
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing drawings 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative design environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating and modifying Revit families
• Exposure to BIM coordination processes
• Familiarity with construction, building systems, or engineering projects
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience working for an MEP provider is a plus
