Summary
The Logistics Specialist supports end-to-end product flow across hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug product distribution, and inventory management operations. This role ensures compliant, accurate, and timely execution of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and documentation activities while adhering to internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and quality expectations. This position is designated as 100% onsite due to the essential nature of the job functions.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This role is classified as 100% onsite. The physical presence of the Logistics Specialist is required to perform the essential job functions, which include but are not limited to: Handling, picking, packing, and shipping physical materials and drug products Receiving goods and processing inventory transactions Operating material-handling equipment Accessing controlled storage areas Performing physical inventory cycle counts Managing hazardous materials and complying with safety regulations Coordinating product destruction activities onsite Maintaining warehouse work areas and equipment

The Logistics Specialist supports end-to-end product flow across hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug product distribution, and inventory management operations. This role ensures compliant, accurate, and timely execution of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and documentation activities while adhering to internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and quality expectations. This position is designated as 100% onsite due to the essential nature of the job functions.
Responsibilities:
- Process hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product sample shipments. Manage international shipments, including documentation and proper packaging.
- Receive and dispense finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components to and from manufacturing facilities.
- Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.
- Process rejected, returned, or expired drug products for destruction.
- Coordinate and schedule destruction activities with approved destruction sites.
- Maintain the inventory control system for drug products.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and ensure accurate reconciliation results.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and compliant manner. Safely operate material-handling equipment.
- Become fully proficient in applicable SOPs and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision. Recommend changes or updates to SOPs as needed. Participate in the training of new team members.
- Access internal systems, databases, and RF scanners; ensure accurate data entry and documentation. File and store documentation according to corporate retention policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 0–5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and inventory control concepts.
- IATA certification and international shipping documentation experience (preferred).
- Ability to meet TSA requirements, including successful background check. Ability to complete the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
- Experience with warehouse material-handling equipment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cooperative team environment. Ability to work occasional overtime.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
