Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager Brisbane | Full-Time

Permanent Position Are you an experienced residential estimator looking to step into a leadership role with a growing Brisbane builder?

Altitude Investment Builders is seeking a Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager to lead its estimating function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. Based in Eagle Farm, this is an office-based position reporting directly to the Managing Director and offers the opportunity to influence commercial outcomes while mentoring and developing the estimating team.

The Role As the Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager, you will take ownership of the estimating function, ensuring all projects are accurately costed, commercially viable and delivered within budget expectations.
Working with Databuild and Onsite Companion, you'll oversee project pricing, supplier and subcontractor engagement, cost analysis and estimating team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities and Job Analysis Reports
• Review preliminary plans and working drawings to identify opportunities, risks and cost impacts
• Maintain and improve Databuild cost databases and estimating systems
• Manage supplier and subcontractor pricing negotiations to achieve the best commercial outcomes
• Monitor actual project costs against estimated budgets and provide reporting to management
• Prepare and submit project budgets and customer proposal estimates within required timeframes
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the estimating team
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors while ensuring licensing and insurance compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across estimating processes and systems

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a residential estimating role
• Strong experience using Databuild software
• Qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or a related discipline
• Extensive experience preparing BOQs, material take-offs and project budgets
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of profitable project delivery
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience within an estimating team
