Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Join our team as a Field Service Engineer specializing in Aircraft Power Systems. You’ll be the technical expert customers rely on—providing real-world support across our product lines. If you’re energized by troubleshooting complex systems, delivering a standout customer experience, and partnering with internal teams to drive rapid resolution, this role is built for you. Required Skills: To be successful in this position, you should have:

• Minimum 5 years of direct aviation experience and technical support experience in a customer support environment
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills for installation and operation
• Experience conducting tests and inspections of avionics and electrical systems to evaluate field function and operation
• Knowledge of aviation certification requirements including relevant disciplines such as:
  • DO-160
  • DO-254
  • DO-178
  • DO-311a
  • As they relate to TSO, Type Certification, or Supplemental Type Certification activities
• Experience with:
  • FAR Part repair station requirements
  • FAR Parts 91, 23, and 25 operations
  • Current FAA and EASA requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Strong attention to detail, with an ability to stay organized, focused, and results oriented
• Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritizing skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
• Comfort with a work style that includes spending most of the day on the phone from an open office environment

Nice to Have Skills: We’d especially value candidates who also have:

• Working familiarity with aircraft instruments and avionics to provide backup technical support
• Knowledge of FAA Special Conditions
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• FAA A&P and/or pilot certification
• Travel: Up to 15% as needed to meet business requirements
• Must be able to maintain accurate and complete records of service and support communications
• Must be able to support product installation, configuration, operation, and management through a primary technical support role
• Participate in industry trade shows as required

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose customer issues, determine the action required, and drive resolution using company databases, customer information, and collaboration across departments
• Serve as a primary technical interface for installation, configuration, operation, and management of products
• Assist with development of technical sales presentations for customer meetings and industry events
• Monitor field data for reliability trends and proactively coordinate with Quality and Engineering for root cause analysis and resolution
• Track support cases to ensure timely resolution and effective follow-through
• Maintain accurate records of service and support communications
• Support industry events and participate in trade shows as required
