This established New Zealand business operates in the power, metering and control systems space, supporting utilities, contractors and industrial clients across the country.
With a strong technical offering and long-standing presence in the market, the business is now looking to strengthen its South Island capability following recent team changes.
About the Role
This is not a traditional sales role.
You’ll act as the bridge between customers and technical solutions, working closely with clients to understand requirements, provide guidance, and support the delivery of fit-for-purpose power and metering systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with utilities, contractors and industrial clients across the South Island
- Supporting RFQs, proposals and technical solutions
- Acting as the go-to technical contact for customers
- Building and re-establishing relationships across an existing customer base
- Identifying new opportunities through engagement rather than hard selling
- Travelling as required for client visits, site support and industry events
This is a role with a high level of autonomy, supported by a wider technical and sales team.
About You
You’ll come from an electrical or power systems background and be comfortable engaging with customers in a technical capacity.
Typically, you will bring:
- Experience in power systems, HV/LV distribution, metering or protection
- A background in field engineering, commissioning or technical support
- The ability to confidently engage with clients and explain technical solutions
- Exposure to RFQs, proposals or project-based work
- Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
You don’t need to be a career salesperson, but you do need to enjoy working with people.
