TRADE ASSISTANT / TRAINEE – FENCING & CIVIL CONSTRUCTION
NOR, Perth, WA | $35.00–$38.50/hr + Super + Allowances |

TCB Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established Western Australian commercial and civil fencing contractor delivering security fencing projects for Perth subdevelopments, local governments, and major infrastructure projects across WA.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Trade Assistant / Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced fencing crews to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality fencing projects across Perth and surrounds. This is a hands-on, physically demanding outdoor role suited to someone who takes pride in hard work and wants to build a long-term career in the construction industry.
There is a clear pathway for motivated individuals to progress from Trade Assistant through to Skilled Fencer, Team Leader, and Project Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to and from work sites in company vehicles towing trailers with fencing materials and machinery
- Install fencing under the guidance of your team leader
- Assist with skid steer and excavator operations on site
- Return to the yard each afternoon to unload and prepare for the following day
- Maintain a safe and tidy worksite at all times
- Follow all WHS policies and site-specific procedures
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Current Australian Driver's License
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
Desirable (training provided for the right candidate):
- Previous experience in fencing, construction or a related trade
- Skid Steer or Excavator Ticket
- HR or MR Licence
- Farming or agricultural background
