Technical Project Manager

Title: Technical Project Manager / Project Coordinator
Compensation: $80 - $95/hr W2  
Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with senior project leadership to define project scope, break down workstreams, and maintain accurate tracking systems.
• Manage multiple project scopes simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and quality expectations are met.
• Maintain project schedules, task trackers, risks, issues, questions, and status updates across cross-functional teams.
• Prepare weekly project summaries and updates for internal leadership, external stakeholders, and project partners.
• Coordinate with technical, creative, production, vendor, and studio teams to ensure work is properly captured, prioritized, and progressing.
• Support planning and execution of tests, demos, concept mockups, and feedback cycles.
• Help translate high-level project vision into actionable plans, timelines, deliverables, and next steps.
• Support vendor coordination, including communication, contracting, invoicing, and relationship management.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, scope materials, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate project updates clearly to varied audiences, including internal teams, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and help keep multidisciplinary teams aligned, informed, and moving forward.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of project management, production coordination, or technical project support experience.
• Experience supporting complex projects that combine technology, creative development, production, R&D, or physical systems.
• Strong understanding of technical environments involving mechanical, electrical, software, robotics, mechatronics, or similar systems.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, workstreams, deliverables, milestones, risks, and competing priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail in fast-moving, evolving project environments.
• Ability to convert broad goals or concepts into actionable plans and drive progress through regular follow-up.
• Experience creating production/project deliverables such as schedules, budgets, scope documents, presentations, and status reports.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for technical teams, creative teams, leadership, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build trust across diverse teams and functions.
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Airtable, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Notion, or similar platforms.
• Positive, proactive mindset with a strong desire to improve processes, solve problems, and support project success.
• Experience in entertainment, themed entertainment, media production, amusement parks, robotics, R&D, or technical production environments is preferred.
