Lead Identity Solution Architect

We're seeking a Lead Identity Solution Architect to drive a large-scale identity transformation, assessing and designing the migration from SailPoint to Microsoft Entra ID Governance. This is a key leadership role responsible for defining the target-state architecture, migration strategy, and technical direction for a major enterprise program.
You will work closely with platform owners, security teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver a scalable, secure, and future-focused identity governance solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment of the current SailPoint environment, including architecture, connectors, workflows, custom rules, and dependencies.
• Define the target-state architecture for Microsoft Entra ID Governance and develop the migration roadmap.
• Design and document Workday-driven Joiner, Mover & Leaver (JML) processes and identity lifecycle workflows.
• Lead discovery and solution design for cloud identity integrations, including GCP, AWS, and enterprise applications.
• Assess account provisioning, entitlement management, and authentication requirements across multiple platforms.
• Design and recommend SCIM, gallery-based, and custom provisioning patterns for priority applications.
• Define security controls, service permissions, logging standards, environment strategy, and automation patterns using Microsoft technologies.
• Develop migration, coexistence, and future cutover strategies to support the broader transformation roadmap.
• Present solution recommendations, PoC findings, and design decisions to architecture, security, and executive stakeholders.
• Provide architectural leadership and design assurance throughout the engagement.

Essential Experience

• 10+ years' experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with a strong background in enterprise-scale identity transformation programs.
• Proven experience as a Lead Architect or senior solution architect delivering identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID Governance, Entra ID (Azure AD), and hybrid identity environments.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, including Joiners, Movers & Leavers (JML) processes.
• Experience assessing and translating SailPoint workflows, connectors, and controls into target-state Microsoft solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SCIM, REST APIs, identity correlation, HR-driven provisioning, and cloud identity integration.
• Proven experience producing and defending solution designs with architecture, security, and application stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Highly Desirable

• Experience leading SailPoint to Microsoft Entra ID Governance migrations.
• Previous experience onboarding suppliers, contractors, and external workforce personnel into Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Expertise integrating identities across AWS, GCP, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience designing external identity, workforce identity, and supplier lifecycle management solutions.
• Microsoft Identity or Security certifications.
• Previous experience working for Microsoft or within a Microsoft-focused consulting practice.
