Project Description:
Our client, an innovative company in the aerospace industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Satellite Constellation (CxS) Manager (m/f/d) to lead strategic satellite constellation programs in the EMEA region. In this key leadership role, you will manage programs exceeding €100 million, coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, software, product management and business functions to successfully deliver commercial satellite missions and constellation services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale satellite constellation programs
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple business units
- Ensure that technical, commercial and customer objectives are achieved
- Build, lead and develop the core program management team
- Coordinate closely with Mission Directors, Engineering, Software Engineering and Product teams
- Manage overall program planning, priorities, schedules and resource allocation
- Identify, assess and mitigate program-level risks
- Support Systems Engineering in managing customer and technical requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering Program Managers (EPM) and Technical Program Managers (TPM) on schedules and execution strategies
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting on program financial management
- Represent the program to customers, partners, executive leadership and other stakeholders
- Foster an agile, collaborative and continuously improving program organization
Your Profile:
- Experience in space systems development, satellite operations or program management
- Deep expertise in LEO satellite systems, satellite design and mission operations
- Proven experience leading large interdisciplinary programs
- Knowledge of remote sensing technologies and commercial satellite services
- Strong leadership experience across international and cross-functional teams
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience managing complex technical and organizational risks
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel within Europe and to the United States several times per year
- Excellent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience developing, managing or operating large satellite constellations
- Proven success leading strategic corporate initiatives
- Experience managing program risks within aerospace programs
- Experience working with international customers and partners
- Strong understanding of agile leadership principles and collaborative program management
Framework Conditions:
- Location: Berlin, Germany (100% on-site)
- Duration: Long-term assignment
- Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
