Administrative Office Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Office Assistant to support a temporary Medicare Risk Adjustment project within a healthcare office setting. This position will focus on retrieving patient records, gathering requested documentation, and submitting information to an outside audit company. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently after training. This is a highly task-focused role that requires accuracy, organization, and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Retrieve patient records and supporting documentation from Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

  • Review requests from Medicare Risk Adjustment auditors and locate required information

  • Upload requested records and documentation to secure insurance or audit portals

  • Track requests and submissions using Excel spreadsheets and internal tracking systems

  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records

  • Organize electronic files and documentation for audit requests

  • Work independently after training while maintaining productivity and accuracy

Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Basic Excel knowledge required

  • Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks efficiently

  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Experience with medical records, medical record requests, or health information management preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR systems preferred

  • Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred

Benefits/Compensation
  • Full Time - First shift

  • Start time: 8:30am or 9am (Flexible)

  • End time: Mon-Thurs: 5pm, Fri: 12pm

  • $15+/hr based on experience

  • Temporary role – Chance to become permanent for the right candidate

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
