We’re looking for a Field Application Specialist – to provide technical training, process optimization, and customer support for cutting-edge bioprocessing solutions used in the production of life-saving therapies. This is a remote role based in Belgium, requiring travel to engage with biotech, pharma, and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).

Your Role:

• Technical Consulting & Customer Training – Work closely with biopharma clients, providing on-site and remote training on bioreactor systems and upstream bioprocessing solutions.
• Process Optimization & Troubleshooting – Partner with customers to analyze cell culture performance, improve process efficiency, and troubleshoot challenges in scale-up and GMP environments.
• Application Support & Product Demonstrations – Showcase the capabilities of bioprocessing technologies, including single-use bioreactors, media prep systems, and process validation tools.
• Collaboration with Sales & R&D Teams – Assist sales teams in understanding customer applications, ensuring the right solutions are positioned for success. Work alongside R&D and process development teams to optimize workflows.
• Strategic Customer Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with biotech startups, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and R&D groups, driving continuous engagement and follow-ups.
• End-to-End Process Improvement – Work cross-functionally with specialists in downstream processing, automation, and analytics to provide holistic bioprocess solutions.

What You Bring:

• Degree in Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences (PhD is a plus).
• Hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical process development, scale-up, or GMP manufacturing.
• Technical expertise in cell culture, bioreactors, and upstream bioprocessing.
• Familiarity with single-use technologies (e.g., bags, mixers, connectors/disconnectors for media preparation).
• Understanding of equipment validation and process qualification principles.
• Strong communication skills in English and French (Dutch is a plus).
• Ability to travel (~60%) within Belgium and occasionally across the region.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work closely with diverse stakeholders.
