About the Position
This full-time ongoing position commences in Term 3, 2026 and involves teaching Geography and Legal Studies across Years 7–12. The successful candidate will join a collaborative Humanities faculty dedicated to developing students' understanding of the world around them, critical thinking skills and civic responsibility. This role would suit an educator who is passionate about engaging students in contemporary issues, global perspectives and the legal systems that shape society.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Geography and Legal Studies programs across Years 7–12.
- Develop curriculum-aligned lessons that encourage inquiry, analysis and critical thinking.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and achievement.
- Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding student progress and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, assessment practices and broader school initiatives.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Northern Territory Teacher Registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
