Federal Government – RAPID Capability Uplift (Multiple Contract Roles) | Canberra (ACT)

Our Federal Government client is standing up a new RAPID delivery capability to deliver early outcomes across the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure PaaS ecosystem, using modern engineering practices including Configuration as Code (CaC) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with the option to leverage AI-enabled coding assistance where appropriate.

This capability is expected to support and accelerate delivery across key business applications (including modernisation of legacy solutions).

Contract details

• Location: Canberra, ACT (on-site)
• Clearance: Baseline (must hold)
• Engagement: Contract through 30 June 2027 + 12-month extension option
• Applications close: 24 August 2026

Roles available (client is hiring across all listed positions)

1) Azure DevSecOps Engineer (x2) Build and manage secure, automated Azure delivery pipelines, embedding security, compliance and IaC practices across the SDLC.

Key focus areas:

• CI/CD pipelines, secure SDLC, policy-as-code/IaC
• Azure platform delivery, automation, compliance uplift

2) Product Owner (Transition Management skills) – Deploy/ReleaseOwn the product vision, prioritise the backlog, and ensure delivery teams build solutions that maximise business value and customer outcomes—particularly across deployment/release and transition.

Key focus areas:

• Backlog ownership, stakeholder management, release/transition governance
• Delivery coordination across multiple streams

3) Platform Architect / Lead Architect – Design AuthorityDefine and govern target architecture to ensure solutions align to strategy, security requirements, and enterprise standards.

Key focus areas:

• Architecture governance/design authority
• Secure-by-design patterns across Power Platform + Azure PaaS

4) Cloud Engineer – Azure (Security-focused)Design, deploy and secure Azure environments, implementing automation, identity, monitoring and security controls to ensure scalable and compliant platforms.

Key focus areas:

• Azure build, security hardening, monitoring/operations uplift
• Identity, logging/telemetry, platform assurance

5) Business Analyst - Translate business needs into practical, deliverable requirements across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and integration platforms.

Key focus areas:

• Requirements elicitation, user stories, process mapping
• Working closely with delivery teams for outcomes-focused delivery

6) Azure PaaS Specialist - Design, build and optimise cloud-native solutions on Azure PaaS services to enable secure, scalable and resilient application delivery through modern integration and automation practices.

Key focus areas:

• Azure PaaS engineering and integration patterns
• Automation, reliability, and secure delivery enablement

7) Power Platform Specialist - Design and deliver solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot Studio to automate processes and accelerate digital transformation.

Key focus areas:

• Power Platform build/configuration, solution design
• Automation and reporting/insights enablement

8) Azure Foundry Specialist - Design and implement AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, leveraging generative AI, machine learning, and secure cloud architectures to accelerate innovation and business outcomes.

Key focus areas:

• AI solution implementation on Azure AI Foundry
• Security, governance, and practical delivery of GenAI use cases
