Senior Accountant

Hunter Manning are partnering with a well-established WA business to appoint a Senior Accountant  on a temporary basis.

Working closely with the CFO and as part of a close-knit finance team, this role will suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and can confidently step into a busy environment to add value quickly.

This is a broad role with exposure across financial reporting, compliance and core accounting operations, making it ideal for an experienced contractor or senior accountant looking for an opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the General Ledger and month-end processes
• Preparation of management reporting and P&L analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy
• Supporting month-end and reporting requirements for the finance function
• Managing tax and statutory compliance including FBT
• Assisting with financial controls and continuous process improvement initiatives

About you:

To be successful, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant role
• Strong technical accounting and business partnering capability 
• Experience preparing management reports and month-end reporting packs
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
• Availability to commence immediately 
• Full Australian working rights and be based in Western Australia
