Contract | Full-time | Greater Sydney | $650 - $675 pd
We're partnering with a large construction group at a pivotal moment in its business journey. With multiple entities operating under a single parent and a mandate to align processes and take out costs across the group, this organisation has stood up a Transformation Management Office to drive one of the most significant programs it has undertaken.
This is a high-visibility interface role. You will be the communications engine inside the TMO, translating program activity into clear, consistent messaging across multiple teams, functions, and subsidiary businesses, and communicating on the TMO's behalf to senior leadership and the broader organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as the primary communications interface between the TMO and stakeholders across the group and its subsidiaries
- Producing executive updates, stakeholder briefings, internal announcements, change narratives, and TMO progress reporting
- Supporting individual workstream leads with initiative-level communications
- Aligning communications activity to TMO governance cycles, reporting rhythms, and program milestones
- Managing a diverse stakeholder landscape from operational teams through to senior leadership
- Maintaining consistency of messaging across a multi-entity group where subsidiaries operate with different cultures and communication norms
- Supporting leadership with town hall preparation, all-staff updates, and executive program messaging
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in change or transformation communications on a large, complex program
- Working knowledge of TMO or PMO governance and how communications integrates with program management
- Proven ability to work as a communications interface across multiple teams and stakeholders without line authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of audiences and formats
- Contractor-ready: structured, self-sufficient, and able to deliver output from day one
- Background in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or a related operational sector
- Experience communicating across a group structure with multiple entities or subsidiaries
- Exposure to cost reduction, process alignment, or operational integration programs
- Background working within or alongside a formal change management function
- Be embedded at the centre of a genuine enterprise transformation in a complex, multi-entity environment
- Work directly with the TMO and program leadership with broad exposure across the group
- Immediate start with a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial term
- Communications function with real influence -- not an afterthought
- Meaningful work at a business inflection point that will shape how this group operates for years to come
