SAP SD Functional Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL — hybrid, three days onsite per week
Employment Type: W-2 contract-to-hire, with anticipated conversion after approximately six months
Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Lactalis is seeking a Functional Analyst to support and improve order-to-cash and supply chain processes across its SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms. You’ll partner with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and IT teams to translate business needs into effective SAP solutions.

This role combines hands-on SAP SD configuration with solution design, process improvement, integration, and ongoing system support.

What You’ll Do

• Lead business requirements discussions, document current processes, and recommend improvements across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
• Design, configure, test, and support SAP SD processes, including pricing, sales orders, deliveries, shipping, and billing.
• Configure pricing controls, including condition tables, condition types, access sequences, and pricing procedures.
• Support master data, including business partners, information records, and pricing condition records.
• Work with revenue account determination, account keys, general ledger assignments, and revenue recognition for item categories.
• Support delivery, transportation, and shipment scheduling through WMS, EWM, and third-party interfaces.
• Configure shipping and loading points, route determination, and intra-company and intercompany stock transfer processes.
• Support billing plans, billing dates, document types, and billing determination.
• Create functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Contribute to full-cycle S/4HANA implementations using global templates with local adaptations.
• Evaluate enhancement requests, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate solutions with business partners and technical teams.

What You’ll Bring

• Three or more years of strong functional experience in SAP SD, order-to-cash, and supply chain execution.
• Hands-on application and configuration experience with both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with at least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, whether greenfield or brownfield.
• Strong knowledge of SAP SD pricing, master data, billing, shipping, and stock transfer processes.
• Knowledge of SAP output types and IDoc types supporting sales orders, order confirmations, shipments, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Understanding of integrations with finance, procurement, logistics, transportation planning, and third-party applications.
• Process knowledge of tax determination, jurisdiction codes, and tax classifications in SAP and/or Vistex.
• Exposure to credit and risk management, including credit limits and credit groups in SAP and/or FSCM.
• Ability to gather requirements, develop clear functional specifications, configure and test solutions, and resolve system issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to business users.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, information management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• Food industry experience.
• Experience supporting global SAP implementations and working across business functions.

Work Environment

This role follows a hybrid schedule in Chicago and involves regular collaboration with business and IT teams. Occasional travel and additional hours may be required based on project needs.
