FLEX CNC Operator Helper

• Assist with loading heavy steel parts onto the FLEX CNC machine (using proper lifting techniques and/or material handling equipment as available).
• Unload parts from the machine and move them to designated areas.
• Perform finishing tasks including:
  • Cleaning
  • Deburring
  • Grinding
  • Labeling
  • Stacking and organizing parts for staging/next operation
• Complete pre-fabrication prep work such as:
  • Grinding mill scale from steel
  • Beveling edges
  • Staging parts and preparing materials for fabrication
• Help with other miscellaneous shop tasks as assigned.

FLEX CNC Operator Helper Qualifications / Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Comfortable using basic hand/power tools (grinders, deburring tools, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow shop instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for a 5:00 AM start time.
• Safety-minded; willingness to wear required PPE and follow all shop safety rules.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Previous experience in a CNC, fabrication, machine shop, or steel/metal finishing environment.
• Experience with deburring, grinding, beveling, or general material handling.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Standing/walking for most of the shift.
• Frequent lifting/moving of steel parts (team lift or equipment may be used based on size/weight).
• Exposure to noise, metal dust, and typical shop conditions (PPE required).
