A new opportunity for a Category Manager to support Group Maintenance and Asset Management has arisen with a West Sussex based employer.
Working in a mature procurement function you will lead on category strategy for Operations and Assets (MRO/Capex)
Responsibilities to include:
Develop and deliver category strategies across the Operations & Assets portfolio
Lead complex end to end sourcing and tender activities (RFI, RFQ)
Build and maintain category pipelines and procurement roadmaps
Partner stakeholders to understand current and future business requirements
Develop sourcing strategies and commercial approaches
Lead supplier engagement, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations
Deliver value, savings and commercial outcomes linked to business objectives
Build robust senior stakeholder relationships
Support procurement system and project work.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous Category Management experience within an indirect function (ideally maintenance contracts and operational services).
Experience of leading outsourced procurement deals would be an advantage.
Must have right to work and be able to commute to the West Sussex office twice per week.
