Team Leader Home Assessing

This is an outstanding opportunity based from Lidcombe NSW for an experienced Home Assessor, Building Supervisor or Assessing professional with leadership experience looking to join a business that genuinely invests in its people, systems and future growth as a Team Leader.  This role can be either full time onsite in the office or On Road  (In the field) - take your pick!

In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of 6 Assessors responsible for on road and/or desktop-based home assessing, scope validation, cost control and end-to-end claims management across residential insurance claims.

You’ll play a critical role in coaching and mentoring assessors, improving operational performance and helping drive exceptional customer outcomes during what can often be challenging times for customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Assessors
• Driving high standards across scoping accuracy, cost validation and claims management
• Managing escalated claims and complex customer matters
• Monitoring team performance, KPIs and operational outcomes
• Supporting process improvement initiatives across the Home Claims function
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and repair networks
• Providing ongoing training, feedback and capability development across the team
• Contributing to workforce planning and operational improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within Home Assessing, Building, Insurance or Trade-related environments
• Strong background in estimating, scoping and assessing residential building repairs
• Ability to mentor, inspire and performance manage a team
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and time management capability
• Experience handling escalations, complaints or complex claims matters
• Insurance industry experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within Home Assessing or the broader Building industry
