Locum Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Podiatrist

Experienced clinicians required for locum based in regional Victoria. The role is to start ASAP start for 8-12 weeks + possible extension.
 
Social Worker

Mental Health experience is desirable, as well as experience working with CALD and indigenous communities and experience in rural health. The mental health team currently has one Mental Health Nurse and one other Social Worker. You will join a team of approximately 20 Health Staff including Nurses, Midwife, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health Promotion, Allied Health Assistants, Podiatrists & Dietitians.
 
This generalist caseload will cover:
Predominately working with outpatients/community members.  Age ranges from young children to aged.  The team work in the local schools, the local Aboriginal Health Service and in the community.  They have a mental health drop-in clinic 3 mornings a week as well.  They work with the Hospital Outreach Mental Health team as well as other community organisations.  Cases include general counselling to more complex mental health issues, through to assisting people negotiate Medicare, visas, government departments, housing etc. 
 
 

Occupational Therapist

The Primary Care team comprises of a number of practitioners including: Dietetics, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Health Promotion Officers, Exercise Physiologist, Social Workers, Nurse, Midwife, Allied Health Assistants, and Podiatry.  It is a predominately young and enthusiastic workforce. The staff provide services in the local area and outreach services to various small towns in the region. 

The caseload is across the spectrum from children through to the elderly and everything in between, including:

• Paediatric clientele, Pre-NDIS clientele requiring support to access the NDIS, Community Aged Care – My Aged Care CHSP, HACC-PYP and HCP, Residential Aged Care, and Inpatient hospital – typically clientele who have been stepped down from the local Base Hospital.
• There is a permanent Grade 2 role available also. Open to experienced Grade 1 clinicians looking to take a step up in their career.

 
 
Podiatrist

• A mixed caseload of clients from 0-100 years
• Working across outpatients, community, a small amount of aged care & outreach
• You will work alongside a team of other allied health professionals on the team including OT, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Speech Pathologists, Dietitian, Qualified Social Worker, Health Promotion Officer and Allied Health Assistants

 
 
FREE accommodation available + locum rates $$. I’ve had great feedback from previous locums!

Travel reimbursement also available.

Locum rates upto $75 per hour + super, up to $100 for ABN + option for PAYG living away from home tax benefits ($6/7 dollars per hour more).
