An opportunity is available for an experienced Leading Hand to join a well-established contractor delivering large-scale high-rise residential apartment projects.
The Role As Leading Hand, you will work closely with the Site Supervisor and Site Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of on-site works. You will lead trades on the ground, drive productivity and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a major high-rise apartment development.

The Role As Leading Hand, you will work closely with the Site Supervisor and Site Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of on-site works. You will lead trades on the ground, drive productivity and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a major high-rise apartment development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating daily on-site activities across designated work fronts
- Supervising subcontractors and labour to ensure productivity, quality and safety targets are met
- Assisting with trade sequencing, site logistics and short-term programming
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with WHS requirements and site procedures
- Conducting toolbox talks and contributing to a strong safety culture on site
- Monitoring workmanship and assisting with inspections, finishes and defect management
- Supporting the Site Supervisor with reporting and use of site systems such as Hamertech and Procore
- Maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- 3+ years’ experience as a Leading Hand or Foreman on high-rise residential apartment projects
- Strong exposure across structure, fit-out and finishing stages
- Solid understanding of buildability, sequencing and coordination on complex multi-storey projects
- Trade background preferred, with the ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors effectively
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
- Salary: $120k–$130k + Super DOE
- Long-term role with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, largely based in the same location
- Opportunity to work on landmark projects valued between $100M–$300M
