We are seeking a capable and self-motivated Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our clients management team. This role is suited to someone who is confident working independently, can think on their feet, and is looking to contribute to the growth and development of a business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and cost plans, with a strong focus on masonry and wall-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Compiling Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost summaries
• Developing subcontractor-level pricing for masonry and wall construction projects
• Reviewing drawings and project documentation to identify scope and risks
• Assisting with tender preparation and submissions
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and procurement input
• Supporting project teams with cost-related information as required
• Contributing to the development and improvement of estimating processes
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator role
• Strong experience completing take-offs and preparing BOQs
• Understanding of subcontractor pricing, particularly within masonry or wall systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and cost awareness
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team
