    Position Title: Special Education Teacher Assistant

    Position Type: Contract / Full-Time

    Hours: 37.5 hours per week

    Setting: School-Based

    Position Overview:

    Seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a school-based setting. This role works under the direction of a certified special education teacher to assist with instructional delivery, classroom management, and implementation of individualized student supports.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide direct support to students in both small group and one-on-one settings
    2. Assist with implementation of IEP goals and accommodations
    3. Support classroom instruction and daily activities
    4. Help manage student behavior using established intervention strategies
    5. Collect and record student data as directed by the teacher or BCBA
    6. Assist with transitions, routines, and reinforcement strategies
    7. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
    8. Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment

    Requirements:

    1. High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
    2. Previous experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting
    3. Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, or other developmental needs preferred
    4. Ability to follow directions and implement behavior and instructional plans
    5. Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Additional Details:

    1. Full-time schedule aligned with the school calendar (37.5 hours/week)
    2. On-site position
    3. Opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team
