Solutions Engineer, Workvivo (APJ)

What You Can Expect

In this role, you will serve as the technical anchor of every pre-sales engagement across APJ, partnering with Account Executives, Customer Experience teams, and Channel Partners to translate complex enterprise requirements into compelling, tailored Workvivo solutions. You will lead consultative discovery sessions, deliver persona-based product demonstrations, and drive technical wins across Workvivo's full portfolio spanning Workvivo HQ, HQ Agent, Seer, Chat, Workvivo TV, and our integrations ecosystem. Fluency in both English and Japanese is essential: you will lead customer-facing engagements, executive briefings, and technical workshops in either language across a diverse region that includes Japan, Singapore, Australia, India, and Southeast Asia. You will report to the Regional Sales Leader in APJ, with a dotted line to the Global Head of Solutions. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence 2 days per week at our Singapore office. Remote arrangements are not available for this role.

The Workvivo Solutions Engineering team is a high-performing, globally connected group that sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and customer success, directly influencing deal outcomes and product direction across some of the world's largest employers. In APJ, one of Workvivo's fastest-growing markets, we are redefining how enterprises communicate, listen, and act through AI-native products like Workvivo HQ and Seer. Our team achieved a 97% engagement score and exceeded revenue targets at 106% last quarter, and we are building on that momentum together.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultative discovery sessions that uncover customer goals, pain points, existing technology stacks, and success metrics, and translate findings into proposed Workvivo solutions tied to measurable business outcomes.

• Design and deliver tailored, persona-based product demonstrations across Workvivo HQ, HQ Agent, Seer, Chat, Workvivo TV, and Advanced Analytics, connecting platform capabilities to the priorities of CHRO, CPO, CIO, and Head of Internal Communications stakeholders.

• Own the Solutions Engineering motion across APJ, managing active opportunities end-to-end through qualification, technical validation, proof-of-concept, RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaires, and commercial close via Salesforce.

• Serve as the primary SE for Japanese-language opportunities, leading discovery, demonstrations, and technical conversations in Japanese with full fluency.

• Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap priorities through structured feature requests and customer feedback, with particular focus on localisation and APJ-specific requirements.

• Enable and support Channel Partners and generalist SEs across APJ with Workvivo product knowledge, demo best practices, and competitive positioning.

• Collaborate with Customer Experience and Onboarding teams to ensure seamless deal handovers and contribute to expansion opportunities across Seer, HQ Agent, and Advanced Analytics.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting within a SaaS organisation or the technology industry, or equivalent experience.

• Fluency in both English and Japanese, written and spoken, with demonstrated ability to lead customer-facing engagements, technical workshops, and executive presentations in either language.

• Proven track record supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles with contributions to six-figure-plus ARR deal closures.

• Strong technical acumen across APIs, integrations, SSO/SAML, HRIS data flows, enterprise search, and AI/ML concepts, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, translating complex platform capabilities into compelling business narratives tailored to senior executive personas.

• Self-starter who operates with autonomy across a geographically dispersed region, managing competing priorities and multiple deal cycles simultaneously, with willingness to travel within APJ approximately 20-30% of the time.

• Experience in Employee Experience, HR Technology, Internal Communications, or Digital Workplace, or hands-on familiarity with AI-powered enterprise search or employee-facing AI agents, is a strong plus.
