Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing complex datasets to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role applies advanced analytical techniques, statistical methodologies, and data visualization tools to transform large, complex data sets into actionable insights for senior leadership. The position requires independent judgment, advanced technical expertise, and the ability to translate analytical findings into meaningful business recommendations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Essential Functions
- Develop, build, modify, and maintain medium-to-large datasets using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Design and implement data collection systems, reporting structures, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to support executive and operational decision-making.
- Perform descriptive and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers across multiple business functions.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze and integrate external pharmaceutical datasets with internal systems to produce comprehensive and accurate business intelligence outputs.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive-level presentation materials to support pricing, sales performance, customer behavior, inventory management, and operational planning.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses in response to evolving business needs, applying independent judgment and analytical discretion.
- Design, build, and maintain automated reporting workflows using automation tools such as Power Automate, Python, and scripting frameworks to streamline report generation, distribution, and data processing across business functions.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in customer, sales, product, and pricing data to support strategic planning.
- Support process improvement initiatives by providing data-backed recommendations and analytical guidance.
- Communicate analytical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and cross-training to team members as needed.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and reliability across all reporting outputs and analytical deliverables.

- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as business needs require.
