JOB TITLE: GIS Technician

LOCATION: Juno Beach, FL preferred (open to remote; ~25% travel to construction sites)

SCHEDULE: Standard Office Hours

DURATION: 12-Month Contract

PAY: $21-26/hr

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support construction and engineering teams through GIS tools and mobile mapping solutions, with a focus on ArcGIS Field Maps. Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and deploying ArcGIS Field Maps for field teams
  • Supporting construction and engineering teams with mobile GIS solutions
  • Providing training and guidance to non-technical users in field environments
  • Assisting with geospatial data management and mapping tasks
  • Collaborating with internal teams to support GIS-related project needs
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and training materials

    Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Set up and manage ArcGIS Field Maps applications for field use
  • Perform basic data review and edits in ArcGIS Pro
  • Train field personnel on GIS tools and mobile applications
  • Provide ongoing support to users in fast-paced construction environments
  • Ensure data accuracy and usability across GIS platforms
  • Assist with broader GIS and data management initiatives
  • Travel to construction sites (~25%) to support deployment and training

    Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong expertise in ArcGIS Field Maps
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro (data review and editing)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to train and support non-technical users effectively
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, field-support environments

    Education & Experience:

  • 6–10 years of relevant GIS or CAD/GIS technician experience
  • Experience supporting construction or energy projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise (preferred)
  • Experience conducting user training and creating documentation (preferred)
