Project Description:
Our client, an innovative company in the aerospace industry, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer (m/f/d) to support satellite manufacturing operations at its Berlin facility. In this role, you will develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing test systems, collaborating closely with hardware design, manufacturing and qualification teams to deliver reliable and scalable production test solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues with production test stations
- Maintain, improve and expand existing manufacturing test stations
- Drive the test strategy for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
- Develop, deploy and maintain manufacturing test software
- Define and manage pass/fail test requirements
- Design reliable and scalable hardware and software test solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware and software failures and perform root cause analysis
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve production quality
- Collaborate with hardware, design and manufacturing engineers on new test solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in PCBA testing or manufacturing electrical test development
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
- Experience with JTAG/boundary scan, bed-of-nails testers and functional testing
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues and performing root cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with laboratory measurement equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and DAQ systems
- Strong Python programming skills for automated hardware testing
- Experience managing Linux-based test environments
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Advanced Python development experience within large software projects
- Experience with satellite or aerospace hardware manufacturing or testing
- Experience developing drivers for test hardware and peripherals
- Production line support experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with test data analysis and continuous yield improvement
- Familiarity with Ansible and Docker
Framework Conditions:
- Location: Berlin, Germany (100% on-site)
- Duration: Long-term assignment
- Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
