Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:45AM-5:30PM
Pay: $25/Hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Housing Specialist to oversee daily operations at an assigned residential property. This role is responsible for supporting residents, maintaining compliance with housing program requirements, managing occupancy-related processes, and ensuring the property remains safe, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide exceptional resident service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned residential property.
- Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with housing program requirements.
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, unit inspections, and recertification processes.
- Enforce lease terms, property policies, and occupancy requirements.
- Collect and post rent payments, manage resident accounts, and follow up on delinquent balances.
- Respond to resident concerns, accommodation requests, and provide conflict resolution support.
- Conduct regular property inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Enter and track maintenance work orders and collaborate with internal teams to address property needs.
- Prepare reports, resident notices, and other required documentation.
- Build positive relationships with residents through regular communication, meetings, and support services.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, affordable housing, or a related customer service environment.
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and general office technology.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for rent collection, account management, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
