My client is a well-funded Miining and Exploration company with a genuinely exciting. It is past the discovery stage, moving through its final feasibility study, and gearing up for construction next year
Their environment team is growing and they are after an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to support the manager with approvals and technical work.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows mining approvals inside out and can get stuck in without a lot of hand-holding. You will have real ownership of your work and a manager who trusts you to run with it.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows mining approvals inside out and can get stuck in without a lot of hand-holding. You will have real ownership of your work and a manager who trusts you to run with it.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing environmental approval submissions (Part IV and Part V of the EP Act, the Mining Act and the EPBC Act)
- Section 40 applications and Programmes of Works, including liaising with regulators
- Coordinating consultants and mobilising biological and technical surveys
- Reviewing environmental data and pulling together compliance reports
- Supporting the EMS and keeping GIS and spatial data up to date
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
- Around 6+ years' experience with a strong mining approvals background
- Good working knowledge of WA and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- QGIS skills, plus Word and Excel for report writing
- Someone self-sufficient who can hit the ground running
- A valid WA driver's licence and a National Police Clearance
- Around $160,000 - $170,000 base + super, plus a discretionary bonus
- A Perth based office role with the odd short site trip - no FIFO
- A funded project moving from feasibility into construction, with real approvals work across the lifecycle
