The Educational Programs Coordinator supports the YW Tech Lab and Literacy Programs, including ESL and Adult Tutoring services. This position is responsible for program coordination, data management, community outreach, partnership development, and reporting activities that support program success and compliance with funding requirements.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about education and community engagement. This role works closely with program staff, participants, and community partners to expand educational opportunities and strengthen program outcomes.
Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate program records, statistics, and reports required by funders, regulatory agencies, and the YWCA.
- Assist with program planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting activities.
- Collect, analyze, and report program data to support compliance and performance outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach events, informational meetings, job fairs, and community networking opportunities.
- Promote program services through presentations, outreach activities, and community engagement efforts.
- Support YW Tech Lab reporting, data collection, participant recruitment, and internship/employment partnerships.
- Provide backup support to the Case Manager, including participant referrals, documentation, and case management assistance as needed.
- Assist the Literacy Programs Supervisor with class registration, data entry, reporting, TopsPro Enterprise, and ICAPS activities.
- Support SOS program reporting and documentation requirements.
- Maintain inventories and assist with ordering program, office, and outreach materials.
- Research and coordinate relevant training opportunities for staff and program participants.
- Stay informed of community resources and policy changes affecting program participants.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and community events as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in program coordination, education, workforce development, human services, or nonprofit programs.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective community partnerships.
- Experience with program reporting, data management, and grant compliance.
- Ability to manage program expenses and multiple priorities.
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive services.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform routine office and outreach-related activities.
- Valid Illinois driver's license.
- Current automobile insurance coverage.
