Paralegal with Appellate Experience
We are seeking an experienced Appellate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and ready to support our Appellate Group.
Qualifications

  • Familiar with court rules, deadlines, forms, and filing procedures and requirements for NY Appellate Terms and Appellate Divisions of all four departments and US Circuit Courts, for both criminal and civil appeals.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Westlaw, and with preparation of records on appeal, tables of contents and authorities, bookmarking, hyperlinking, and electronic filing of appeals and motions at all levels of state and federal courts.
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office setting.

Proficiency with document management systems (CLIO and Word), and research tools (Westlaw / LexisNexis
