Warehouse Specialist

Warehouse Associate - $21/hr

Core Responsibilities

1) Inbound Processing (Receiving)

• Unload and inspect inbound freight from delivery trucks, container shipments, and LTL carriers for damage.
• Verify incoming items against purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading to confirm correct product numbers and quantities.
• Scan barcodes and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to receive items into inventory.
• Move verified stock to designated storage bins, racks, or staging areas (put-away).

2) Outbound Operations (Fulfillment)

• Pick orders using pick lists and/or scanners to locate and retrieve products.
• Confirm picked items match order details, inspect for defects, and pack securely using appropriate materials to prevent shipping damage.
• Generate/apply shipping labels, sort packages by carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight), and stage shipments at the dock.

3) Inventory Control & Maintenance

• Perform routine cycle counts in assigned areas to support inventory accuracy.
• Replenish active pick locations by moving inventory from bulk/overstock storage.
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged stock, or labeling errors promptly to the supervisor.

4) Equipment Operation & Safety

• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, order pickers) as trained/certified.
• Complete daily equipment safety checks (battery/charge, hydraulics, brakes) before operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free workspace and keep aisles clear of debris, pallets, and wrap.
