Laser Operator

Laser Operator Job:

Schedule - M-F - 5:30am-2pm or 1:30pm-10pm
Pay = $23-$32/hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal parts based on work orders and technical drawings.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
• Inspect materials, verify dimensions, and check for defects in accordance with quality control standards.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and organization of metal sheets and parts.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
• Maintain accurate records of job setups, machine adjustments, and production output.
• Adhere to company policies, including safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating laser cutting machines, preferably in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in an industrial setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a standing position for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with specific laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, or similar models).
• Knowledge of different metal types (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and their properties.
• Forklift operation certification.
