Data Engineer

• 6 months initial contract with potential extension
• Build scalable cloud data solutions with Snowflake
• Drive platform innovation using dbt and Python

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join a high-performing Systems team responsible for developing and enhancing a modern enterprise data platform that supports critical business and technical functions. This role will focus on designing, building and optimising scalable data solutions within a Snowflake environment, enabling reliable, secure and efficient data delivery across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the enterprise data platform.
• Design, build and maintain scalable, reusable dbt models and macros.
• Develop and support data pipelines using dbt Core and Snowflake.
• Refactor and optimise existing data solutions to improve performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews, technical discussions, testing and troubleshooting activities.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake and dbt Core.
• Demonstrated experience with Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling methodologies.
• Experience developing, maintaining and optimising modern cloud-based data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
