Low Voltage Technician – Structured Cabling – Charleston, SC

Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Technician in Charleston, SC! Earn $18–$28/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady commercial project opportunities with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

We're looking for structured cabling technicians ranging from developing technicians with a solid foundation through experienced Level 2/3 techs who can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
  • Punch down voice and data jacks
  • Terminate and dress patch panels
  • Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testing equipment
  • Install racks, cabinets, J-hooks, cable tray, and other pathway systems
  • Assist with MDF/IDF buildouts
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts
  • Maintain clean, organized cable management and professional installation standards
  • Work safely from ladders and lifts as required
  • Support fiber optic, access control, CCTV, and other low voltage systems depending on project needs
  • Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements

Requirements

  • Commercial or industrial structured cabling experience
  • Hands-on experience pulling and terminating CAT5e/CAT6 cable
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling installation practices
  • Ability to use basic low voltage hand tools
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a crew
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work safely in active commercial construction environments
  • Basic hand tools and PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, gloves, and work boots
  • OSHA, Lift, and BICSI certifications are a plus

What We're Looking For

We're open to different experience levels and will base pay on technical ability.

$18–$21/hr: Developing technicians with a solid commercial cabling foundation

$22–$25/hr: Experienced technicians comfortable pulling, terminating, dressing, and working independently

$26–$28/hr: Strong Level 2/3 technicians with advanced structured cabling skills, testing experience, blueprint knowledge, and the ability to take ownership of assigned work
